My Story

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2020, a moment that changed my life in ways I’m still learning to navigate. At the time, my eldest was a baby, and my focus was simply getting through each day, adjusting, and being the best mum I could be.

Now, with my kids a little older (both over four), and thanks to an incredible support network around me, my husband, brother, parents and friends, not to mention very effective treatment, I finally feel like I have space to start making plans for me again.

This challenge is deeply personal.

My grandad also had MS, but he lived through it in a time before the treatments and support systems we have today. He fought so hard every single day, with my granny by his side.  Growing up knowing his story, has stayed with me. He is a huge part of why I’m doing this.

I want to honour that fight, but also be part of a future where MS doesn’t have to take so much from people and families.

Taking on this challenge means pushing myself physically and mentally, getting stronger, and proving to myself what I’m capable of. But more importantly, it’s about raising vital funds for MS Ireland, so that research can continue, support services can grow, and one day, we can finally find a cure.

Every donation, no matter how small, is part of that bigger goal.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me 💛
